Spanning over 1,000 acres, with approximately 700 acres composed of sheltered water, the facility is divided into the Eastern Docks—specialising in high-frequency roll-on/roll-off ferry movements—and the Western Docks, which house a multi-purpose cargo terminal and cruise ship berths. The infrastructure is protected by extensive stone breakwaters and includes eight dedicated ferry berths designed for rapid vehicle turnover. It serves as a continuous 24-hour hub for international freight and passenger services, integrating multi-agency security and customs controls.
